Growing Success
THE
schools’ entries in Rushmoor In Bloom have been judged
and winners announced this week.
Among
the five category winners was South Farnborough Junior School,
whose Butterflies’ Favourite Pot project scooped first place.
The
school in Cunnington Road has a pretty courtyard garden tended
by the pupils’ gardening club, held as an extracurricular
activity and run by teachers and parents.
The school’s art club members helped design and create a
mural to enhamce the garden.
The
school was commended in the School Grounds category and Year 6
pupil Catherine Rowden was runner-up in the associated children’s
painting competition.
Schools and preschools throughout the borough entered the contest.
