Point of awareness

I would like to advise residents of north camp of an increase in thefts from motor vehicles. The item which is being targeted is Sat Navs. I would ask that if you do have a system which is portable not to leave it in your vehicle. This includes on the holder in the dashboard or in the glove box. Systems should be removed from the car.

Also the holder should be removed and the mark which is left on the windscreen cleaned. The people who steal these systems will smash the window and search the car if there is ANY evidence that it may be in the car.

We will be increasing our patrols in the area but I would ask residents to be vigilant and report anybody who is seen acting suspiciously around vehicles. If you are interested in setting up a neighbour watch in your road then please give me a call at farnborough police station
