Phoenix Martial Arts Farnborough - Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign
Every two years Phoenix Martial Arts holds a charity fight to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. The Royal Marsden Hospital in London is one of the top cancer hospitals in the country.
On 10th July 2011 we will be fighting once again for The Royal Marsden. The task entails instructors fighting a minimum of 120 one-minute rounds against the junior and senior students, who will have to fight through 60 one-minute rounds… with no breaks and no rest!!

Together, over the past 20 years the clubs of Phoenix Martial Arts have raised over £140,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer campaign over the years! At the last event in 2009 the Farnborough club students alone managed to raise £2,724!!! This year we are hoping to pass the £3,000 mark, but we can only achieve that with your help.

To see how you can help and to even train up to take part in the event yourself, Phoenix Martial Arts Farnborough club invites you to come and try out our Kung Fu and Kickboxing lessons at Wavell Cody Community Campus.
Our classes run on Monday and Wednesday nights for adults from 20:00 to 21:30 in the Movement Studio, or on Wednesday for juniors from 19:00 to 20:00 in Cody Hall. The first lesson will be free to beginners and will incorporate a good workout, stretch, technical tuition, pad work, self defence and sparring. A great idea if you want to become proficient in martial arts and improve your fitness, stamina, strength and flexibility.
