"Music is our spiritual guide through life"

Welcome to the mystical world of Guidance Recordings, where anything can happen if it is your intention. You can build a rocketship to the moon, you can stop fighing in South Africa, you can cure AIDS, you even can be happy. We will take you on a musical journey through life. We are a clan of warrior-poets, who choose to observe, investigate, and change the world through our music and our words. We, the house music community, have begun to take music for granted. We have forgotten what it means to really hear music for the first time and have it mean so much that you want to cry, that it changes your life, that you are forced to DANCE until you are dripping wet.

Remember the first time you heard "Strings of Life", "French Kiss", or "Tears"? Of course you do. But today, we don't have classics like that anymore. Like the equipement with which we make our music, we, too, are machines. We go through music like the fast food chains which we frequent so often, spitting it out as quickly as we swallow it. Never stopping to really listen and enjoy more than a brief second. Guidance Recordings is taking a minute, maybe an hour, maybe a whole fucking decade if we need it. We must all re-program ourselves.

Guidance is releasing a new kind of music. Music which has no name, but can be called quality. Music which has no direction, but reaches many different people. Music which won't die next week, but will continue in your minds five/ ten years from now. History teahes us many lessons- the most important of which is that history always repeats itself. It has been 30 years since the last real social uprising. There are too many struggles going on in the world.

The U.S. is about to change from a Democratic office to a Republican one. Everything is getting more and more expensive. And, as many times before, Music is the only Savior. Our savior cannot be empty, it cannot be sampled, and it cannot be denied. It cannot be any of these things because music has to get real. Real about itself and real about what it is saying.
