What does the North Camp Matters Community Association do?

  • We were involved with the development and landscaping of 'The Hub' Sculpture more...
  • Organise the highly successful Summer Fair each year more...
  • Take issues and concerns raised by residents and traders in the area and try to improve situations
  • Actively comments on planning applications and road development proposals for the good of the area
  • Input into the very popular www.northcampvillage.co.uk website
  • Driven towards creating a community short of anonymosity between residents, traders and local government
  • We're committed to improving the lifestyle and conditions for all who live and work in the area
  • We contributed to the regular North Camp Regeneration newsletter
  • Involvement in regular Networking Events aimed to bring social and trading groups together
  • We were heavily involved in the massive overhaul and improvements to the play area in Queens Road Recreation Ground, helping to achieve a RoSPA 5 Star Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in the process

North Camp Summer Fair

Current aims and objectives:

Improve the parking situation in North Camp by way of improved security and sign posting for Napier Gardens.

Address the walkways, lighting and signage from Peabody Road Car Park to Camp Road and vice versa.

Liaise with RBC to improve the parking situation and to act as a conduit for the residents and traders to get their voices heard.

Look at ways to get commercial property owners to maintain the appearance of out of use buildings to improve the overall street scene.

Research benefits of establishing a working group for the South Farnborough Conservation area, including bringing awareness of the area and what it's striving to protect.
