Where is North Camp Village?

North Camp used to be the main shopping centre in Farnborough before Kingsmead and Queensmead were built in the 50s and 60s.

Roughly speaking the outline for North Camp follows Farnborough Road to Lynchford Road, down Park Road and Sycamore Road up to Boundary Road, where it comes back to the Farnborough Road. Other definitions take North Camp all of the way up to the Basingstoke Canal.

Knellwood & St.Mark's Policing Updates

Since 2009 the Safer Neighbourhood Team for Knellwood and St Marks have produced a weekly 'Policing Update' detailing local policing activity and witness appeals for the local area. In addition we have held regular policing forums at the Baptist Church in Queens Road as well as launching a new Twitter service @FarnboroughCops.

We are looking for men and women who can give cover as a Retained Firefighter at Rushmoor Fire Station.

The Retained Crew supplements the Wholetime Crews and is required 24hrs everyday. Retained Firefighters may provide either all or part of the 24hour period (24hrs/Days/Nights & W’ends). Retained Firefighters receive both initial and ongoing weekly training in all aspects of the role, they are paid a retaining fee and thereafter pro-rata Wholetime equivalent earnings. Retained Firefighters must be able to respond from home or work to the fire Station within 4 minutes.

Retained firefighters are a key part of the fire and rescue service in Hampshire and come from a real cross section of our community. Retained applicants can be male or female. You will need to live or work within fours minutes travel time of the fire station. You will also be expected to attend training sessions one night per week and other
training courses. You will receive pay known as a ‘retaining fee’ and additional payments will be made for any courses or incidents you attend.
