AMTC Tennis Club
AMTC Tennis Club off Eggar’s Hill in Aldershot has recently completed a £23,000 project to install floodlights on two of its courts.

This facility will make a great difference to the community enabling members to play throughout the winter. AMTC is a not-for-profit club and has a reputation for being a friendly and family orientated club for juniors and adults alike. It offers coaching for children and adults, improver sessions for returners and beginners and regular social tennis sessions and events throughout the year. The club also enters junior and adult league teams in all categories of the Aldershot and District League Association which comprises clubs within a 10 mile radius.
This project has been supported through SITA Trust’s Enhancing Communities Programme which provides funding to community improvement projects through the Landfill Communities Fund. Funding was also generously donated by C S Johnsons Trust and Hampshire Playing Fields Association.
In order to celebrate this great facility, the club is holding an Open Day on Saturday 19th November from 3pm to 6pm and invites the whole community to join it to enjoy activities for all ages which will include tennis taster sessions along with group games and fun for all. Refreshments will also be available before an official “switching on” of the lights.
Sue Pappadakis of the club says ‘Come along and join us on Saturday 19th November to celebrate the new floodlights and see what this local club has to offer!’
